Welcome to St. Luke

We know that visiting a new church for the first time can feel a little unfamiliar, so we want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. At St. Luke, you are welcome just as you are.

Whether you have been part of a church your whole life, are returning after some time away, or are simply curious and exploring faith, we are glad you are here. There is no pressure to know exactly what to do, and we won’t single you out as a visitor. Our pastors, greeters, and members are always happy to welcome you personally, answer questions, and help you find your way.

What to Expect

Worship at St. Luke is rooted in the Lutheran tradition and usually lasts about one hour. Our services include music and hymns, Scripture readings, prayers, a sermon, and Holy Communion.

You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable. Our worship bulletin will guide you through the service, so you do not need to be familiar with Lutheran worship before you come.

Most importantly, you can simply come, find a seat, and experience worship with us. We want your first visit to feel warm, welcoming, and comfortable.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are! There is no dress code at St. Luke.

You will see people dressed in everything from jeans and casual clothes to more traditional Sunday attire. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is celebrated as part of our worship, and all are welcome at the Lord’s Table, including children.

You do not need to be a member of St. Luke to receive Communion. If you would prefer not to receive Communion, you are also welcome to come forward for a blessing.

Our worship leaders will guide the congregation, so don’t worry if you have never received Communion at St. Luke before.

Children & Families

Children and families are always welcome at St. Luke.

Children’s Sunday School meets Sundays from 9:15–10:15 AM, between our Sunday worship services.

Godly Play

For children ages 2½ through pre-K, accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver.

Godly Play offers a creative and imaginative approach to Bible storytelling that invites young children to wonder, explore, and experience the stories of faith.

Kids Spark

For children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Through games, crafts, Bible stories, prayer, and conversation, children gather “family style” to explore faith and discover ways to live it throughout the week.

Nursery care is also available during worship services for families with young children. Children are always welcome to remain in worship with their families as well.

Grow, Connect & Get Involved

Life at St. Luke extends far beyond Sunday worship.

Throughout the week, people of all ages gather for Bible studies, faith formation, fellowship groups, service opportunities, music, educational programs, social gatherings, and special activities.

Some groups meet weekly, while others gather monthly or seasonally. There are opportunities for children, youth, adults, families, and older adults to learn, serve, build friendships, and grow in faith together.

Music is also an important part of life at St. Luke. Our Choir and Handbell Choir rehearse regularly and help lead worship throughout the year.

Whether you are looking for a Bible study, a ministry team, a place to serve, a music group, or simply a way to connect with others, we hope you will find a place that feels meaningful to you.

Parking is available in front of the church and in the side parking lot.

Our building also has wheelchair-accessible entry via a ramp. If you need assistance when you arrive, one of our greeters will be happy to help.

After Worship

We hope you’ll stay for a little while after the service!

After worship, there is time for coffee, conversation, and fellowship, and snacks are sometimes available as well. It is a relaxed opportunity to meet members of the congregation, ask questions, or simply spend a few minutes getting to know St. Luke.

There is no obligation to stay, but we would love the chance to meet you.
